Tuesday meetings, netiquette
Our County Council Regular Session will be at 2p.m. tomorrow (instead of the usual time of 4:30p.m.) in the Nat U. Hill Meeting Room, County Courthouse.
The agenda is online here.
Monroe County Plan Commission will meet at the regularly scheduled time tomorrow at 6p.m. in the same meeting room. Here is our unusually light agenda, a single item: 0709-REZ-07
Plan Commission is also set to discuss the hiring of a Director for the Planning Department. My understanding is that an announcement and action will take place regarding this important matter tomorrow evening.
Now that the holiday season has begun, as we anticipate Thanksgiving, I’ve been thinking over e-mail and netiquette. Minding P’s & Q’s type stuff. I’d be curious to hear from local professionals, citizens, casual users of the internet, who might share their thoughts about netiquette.
You can well imagine that politicians see a wide range of approaches to e-mail—with the added layer of sunshine laws, open records, etc. adding to the mix of approaches correspondents/constituents take when composing e-mail—-and consequently, what is really, really intended upon hitting the “send” button.
So, tell me about your workplace, or personal, code of conduct for e-mail netiquette…
Oh, and I’d be very curious to hear about track records of e-mail response time from local elected officials…this could be an interesting topic for a future pin-the-tail.
