Valeri
“One look is worth a thousand words…” Chinese Proverb

In other words, “A picture paints a thousand words.”
Monroe County citizens missed the opportunity to elect Valeri Haughton to serve us as a member of the Board of Judges this 2006 election season. She is an incredible, beautiful person: a role model for women, people of color, people from all walks of life. She is a joyful, loving friend. Her campaign was guided by integrity, passion, and a profound understanding of the honorable role of serving justice fairly to all; because of this we should congratulate her for a job well done and for raising awareness of how important the role of Judge is to County Government and its mission of public service.

I echo these sentiments. Words cannot express my disappointment about Val’s loss, but I commend her for her courage and strength in running a tough and competitive campaign. I believe that whatever is next for Val will be something truly wonderful.

Thank you for supporting Valeri! I’m confident that we’ll be seeing Valeri continue in the direction she has capably, graciously, and proactively taken towards a future in public service for Monroe County citizens. Let’s look forward to a bright future thanks to her willingness to run for office on a sound and meaningful platform!

Valeri, as long as i live in this county i will never be able to figure out the voter, you have everything this justice system needs, the voters got it wrong on this judge race, speaking about race many of us are hoping it was not about “race”, or i am really going to be mad at my fellow community neighbors!!!! Hey Mo. Co. wait ’til next time, Love Susie
