To dish or not to dish
Pin-the-tail is coming up on the anniversary date of its inception…
It started out as a way to discuss County Council (of course!) and candidates from the Democratic Party (local, state, and national.)
Just a few weeks after my foray into blogging began, the most controversial entries were culled by various people (party insiders and a few journalists) in town…naturally, anything I said about the other side inflamed some people (often party insiders and a few journalists.) It may interest some of you that over the years, the most outraged readers of pin-the-tail have often been members of my own party— but you have to expect this in the way that you expect your friends to tell you that you have some mustard on your face or your buttons are askew— or that they simply have a differing opinion.
Regardless, I felt that Pin-the-tail had to start out with what I saw as two main stylistic approaches: “dishy” and “field report.” The dishy makes this a fun activity. And I should mention that any “dish” on the subject of food seems to inspire the most commentary!
And whenever I write an entry for the category titled ‘Fluck Mill Muse’ I’m doing just what bloggers do— just sort of sharing the personal journal aspect that blogging is designed for.
I suppose my blogging has been much more quiet this year. This has to do with my limited time to blog. Little Finn keeps my hands busy!
The H-T corporatist editorialists have had plenty to say about the current Auditor’s office but, since they’re not endorsing candidates this year, I wonder if they’ll opine about that particular race?
Do inquiring minds want to know?
I think the most recent news coverage on that race is just plain sad.

A while back, in 2007, I blogged about Rachel Maddow…I’m crazy about her show on CNBC!! I’m a huge fan!
Now, this is a test for Mr. Fluck Mill…we’ll see if he reads up on a GREAT factoid about Ms. Maddow in my pingback…

Is it just me or is the HT getting more bizarre?
Don’t answer that.
Congrats on the upcoming bloggerversary (have you too noticed how many cutesy words have been manufactured around “blog?”)
Yours is a daily read for me. Although I don’t comment as much as I used to, just know that it is read and greatly appreciated.
Oh, and I too think Rachel is the bomb. What a dynamo of talent and tenacity!

Joy! What fun to hear from you!
I agree with you— the H-T does seem kind of bizarre and confused about itself!
Rachel is mesmerizing with that megawatt smile and easy friendliness. Dazzling.
Thanks for making this a blogulously fab day!
